What a wonderful blessing to have had Ms. Clara around for more than a century! Not many can say that! May your cherished memories fill your hearts with joy as you share your stories. May God's comforting words at 2 Cor 1:3,4 help strengthen you in the difficult days ahead. May his soothing words at Isaiah 25:8 and 33:24 continue to give you hope - that we have something to look forward to. My deepest condolences on your loss.

I only knew Ms McConnell for a few months after my mother shared the room with her at the nursing home. She was a very sweet and lovely person. I'll never forget how soon after my mother moved in to the room, it was her birthday. Ms Clara and my mom didn't know each other very well, yet. However, Ms Clara realized it was my mom's birthday from all the commotion and as Ms Clara wheeled herself into the room, she sang with her very lovely voice Happy Birthday to my mom. It was very touching. When she got to the part of saying ' happy birthday dear _____', Ms Clara interjected 'and I don't even know your name'. It was hilarious and tender at the same time. God bless her and her loving family.
