Phillip & Maria Norman share so many memories from over 45 years of knowing our Brother Doug and Hazel. We, Phil and Doug, were roommates for over 7 years in Portsmouth, Va, while working at NNSY, and later relocating to Portland, Oregon. After marriages, we continued our relationships, even though living arrangements were changed. He was very quiet, but very firm at what he believed. There are so many stories to tell but we are so grateful for the many years of our friendship, even visiting in Charleston. Doug was a great person, and we Thank God for allowing our paths to cross in this life. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Rest In Peace, Douglas Parker!

When I think of Uncle Douglas I think of great memories of him and my father and their brothers and sisters because they all looked so much alike. May he eternally rest well with others who've preceded death before him. To be absent from the body, Is to be present with the Lord. 🙏🏾

To the Family of Douglas Parker, I would like to share a special memory of Douglas. When it was time to get together I made sure I had a Punch Bowl Cake ready for him. He really enjoyed it and I enjoyed making it for him. Love your Cousin Beatrice Porter.

Our Uncle Douglas was such a wonderful man. He enjoyed Family and thought highly of his Nieces and Nephews. Our best time is getting together every year for our Family Gathering which started at Aunt Emma's house. I enjoyed watching him eat his deserts. Apple strudel and ice cream. Rest on Uncle Doug. Love, Shawn
