Obituary For Adrienne Devett Nicole Martin-Littlejohn

Dr. Adrienne Devett Nicole Martin-Littlejohn was born April 17, 1983 to Mr. Garrie Martin and Ms. Susie Mayo in Summerville, SC. She attended the public school system in Summerville, SC. She received her Bachelors of Science from Claflin University in (Orangeburg, SC) and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Sherman School of Chiropractic in (Spartanburg, SC). Adrienne later became a Registered Nurse through Thomas Nelson Community College in (Hampton, VA).

Adrienne had a very deep and personal relationship with God. She held the Lord in high regard and made it a priority to spread the joy of our Savior to anyone who would listen. She joined Canaan United Methodist Church, (Ridgeville, SC) at an early age and continued her growth at Mt.

Moriah Baptist Church, (Spartanburg, SC) and Freedom Life Church, (Hampton, VA).

Adrienne had a passion for healing. She began her career practicing as a Chiropractor after her graduation from Sherman School of Chiropractic learning under the tutelage of several Chiropractors in the Spartanburg area. In 2009 while attending a movie with friends she met her husband Kendrick. They were wed in June of 2011. Adrienne quickly adapted to both life as a military spouse and life in Hampton, Virginia by establishing her own private practice "I Adjust Family Chiropractic". "Red", as she was affectionately called by members of her family, ultimately decided to merge her love of healing and understanding of skeletal functionality together as a RN at Riverside Regional Medical Center in

(Newport News, VA) orthodontic department.

Adrienne was a woman of numerous talents and interest. She spent her days gardening, collecting the latest gadgets, attempting new recipes (with varied success), being a practical joker, loving and enjoying family, fishing, painting, and whatever she decided was her thing at the moment. More than anything "Addy" enjoyed smiling and loving people.

Adrienne loved family and will continue to have her story told by her husband Kendrick, her parents Mr. Garrie Martin and Ms. Susie Mayo, her parents-in-law Mr. Henry Littlejohn and Dr. Yvonne Littlejohn, her siblings Mr. Russell Mayo, Ms. Camry Martin, Mrs. Stephanie Mayo, Dr. Sharonda Thomas, and Mr. Joseph Thomas, her

niece Keira Mayo, her nephew Jayden "Krease" Thomas, a host of aunts and uncles and a legion of cousins.

Adrienne's memory will live on through her story and all of our memories of her. The Home Going Service for Mrs. Martin-Littlejohn will take place on Friday, April 29, 2022, 10:00 AM at Canaan United Methodist Church, 171 Hwy. 61, Ridgeville, SC. She will be laid to rest in Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
