Ahkeyra Phylann Raysor, 22 of Raleigh, NC entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 22, 2022. She was the daughter of Master Sergeant Tameeka Van Ellis and Clemon Rucker. She was briefly raised by her fraternal grandmother in Baltimore, Maryland and two aunts in Charleston, SC, and traveled to several places throughout the United States. Ahkeyra attended public schools in Charleston, SC, Watertown, NY and Columbia, SC. She attended Goose Creek High School from 9th to 11th grade where she ran track and graduated from White Knoll High School in 2018. After graduating she enrolled in Allen University but found her passion was truly doing hair, so she enrolled in Kenneth Shuler before her passing. Ahkeyra attended Mt. Herman RMUE Church where she was in the choir. She had a profound love for cooking for others. She was a free-spirited individual and loved family time. She loved watching movies. She was a ray of light. She leaves to cherish her memories of her children Alexzander “AK” and Amoura; parents Master Sergeant Tameeka Van Ellis and Clemon Rucker III (Mikki), siblings Siya, Sharona, and Kaliyah, stepsister and step brother Monet and Craig Jones, great grandmother Bertha Pitts, grandmother Fannie Rucker, Ana Morton, and Stephanie Stafford, aunties/uncles Shaleshia Morton (Darrell), Willie Raysor, Tiffany Raysor (Travis), Ecoliette Raysor, Pamela, Christopher (Debbie), and Sheryl (Richard) Hudson; Grand aunts/Uncle; Hezetta Brown (Joe), Gloria Raysor, Jacqueline Brown (Rodney), Robert Sheppard, Henry (Geneva), Angela “Aunt sissy” Stewart, Rodger Cooper, Alvin (Audrey), Charles (Julie), Clair Stanton, Sophia Ross, Gregory, and Hezekiah Raysor; special aunts Tiera Wright, Nicole Lasane (Danell), Demetria, Erica, Toya, LaQuita, Tametris Johnson (Dave), Earlette Smith (Johnny), Larysa Wright and Gail, godmother Robin Pickney. Special Friends Sammie, Q, Kye’Shay, Dorothy, Zion, Kortaza, and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by Phylis Raysor (grandmother), Robert Louis (grandfather), Clemon Rucker Jr (grandfather), Willie Pitts (great grandfather), Jesse Wallace (aunt), Lilly Johnson (aunt). The Home Going Service for Ahkeyra will take place on Saturday, December 31, 2022, 12:00 noon at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 1291 Remount Rd., N. Charleston, SC. She will be entombed in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Walk Thru will take place on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
