Obituary For Albert Napolean Thompson, Jr.
Albert Napoleon Thompson, Jr., the son of Albert Napoleon Thompson, Sr. and Almarie Wade Thompson was born in Charleston, South Carolina on November 25, 1964. Al, as he is affectionately known, was raised on Midland Park and received his early education at Midland Park Elementary School, Alice Birney Middle School and graduated from R.B. Stall High School in 1983. Al studied mechanical HVAC at Trident Technical College which helped to build his knowledge in the construction industry.
The foundation for Al was built on Jesus Christ and love. He grew up in a home and family where God was the center of his being. He gave his life to Christ at the age of thirteen and was Baptized at Lovely Mountain Baptist Church under the leadership of the late, Pastor Joseph L. Tindall. During his youth, he participated in Sunday School activities and sang on the Youth Choir. In his early years, he played Youth Football for the North Charleston Bulldogs and later continued playing sports in High School.
Throughout his life’s journey, Al was a man of many skills whether it was HVAC, painting, carpentry, roofing, and mechanical work. At heart, Al was an entrepreneur which inspired him with many different business ideas. He operated a trucking business, janitorial service, taxi service, and painting company and mostly sought freelanced work.
Al became a father to his two beautiful twin daughters Kemia and Demia. Later, he married his late wife Donna Nichols Thompson and gained three additional blessings Al, Titus, and Asia. There are many things that we will miss about Al and to know him was to love him. We will miss his smile, laughter and playful nature. Through all of his trials and tribulations, Al loved his family, and his family so loved him unconditionally. He will forever be in our hearts. He fought as long as he could because he did not want to leave us behind…his family. He fought until God called him home to take his rest.
On August 3, 2024, Albert Thompson, Jr. answered the voice of God, and he leaves to mourn: his Parents: Albert N.
