lasting words he said was that he was trusting in the lord and whatever God decides was ok with him, He considered his going through in his body like Job did in the bible and he endured his test and he refused to curse God because he knew who he was serving. It was more than a pleasure coming to know this man of God. He thought well of his church family and his desire was to please the lord and see more signs and wonders of the lord like in the old days. family members press on to the higher calling in Christ Jesus. Antoine was an adopted member of the Gaines Family by my sister, Kitty. He joined us for Sunday dinner after worship services, on special occasions, and holidays. Antoine was very jovial and had such a sweet spirit. He will truly be missed. God has done what He promised. "When this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have another building not made by hands. Rest with the Lord, Antoine. Rest. Deborah L. Williams

Working with Gadsden at Brentwood Middle School was a real experience, never a dull moment. His jolly demeanor and infectious smile was a daily experience. I lost touch over the years, but God allowed our paths to cross about 5 months ago. Since then we've kept in touch with each other. In spite of his illness and challenges he would extend prayers to me and shared words of encouragement. I too offer prayers to him. Knowing him was a pleasure. My heart ached when I learned of his transition. Well done Gadsden, you fought a courageous fight, rest now in paradise.
