Obituary For Carolyn Vinson

Carolyn Sharon Vinson, 72, was born June 4, 1953, to the late Henry Mood Jr. and Bertha Lee Mood. Carolyn received her education at Liberty Hill Elementary School and Bonds Wilson High School. Carolyn was employed at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and retired December 28, 2003.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her Father Henry Mood Jr., Mother Bertha Lee Mood, sisters Linda Short, Cathy Mood, Thomas “Bubby” Seabrook, and the late John “Bubba” Henry Mood.

Carolyn leaves to cherish fond memories, her children John E. Vinson (Denise), Octavius L. Vinson, and Joseph Q. Vinson (Shemeka) all of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Kiaira S. Edwards, Lauren K. Vinson, Joseph Q. Vinson II, Julian L. Vinson, Paris J. Vinson, and Jaydon M. Vinson; her Great Grandchild Delilah Q. Vinson; her siblings Gloria Ross of Dorchester, SC, Nancy Hall of Port Chester, NY, Henrietta Parker (Terry) of North Charleston, SC, Randolph Mood (Sheryl) of Goose Creek, SC, Asperita “NeNe” Mood of North Charleston,
SC, Mechico M. Mood (Nadine) of Portchester, NY, Tracy Mood of Portchester, NY, Audrey Richardson (a Devoted Sister and Best Friend) of Summerville, SC; Favorite Niece Alexis “Gladys” Ravenel and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Momma really lived her life for the Lord and was a praying woman. She was the life of the party and lit up every room she walked into. Momma was a Die-Hard Cowboys Fanatic and bragged about Dem Boys. Whoow Whoow. Momma was the greatest person you could ever know. Anyone she met, she would stop, talk, pray, and encourage them to have faith in the Lord.

Momma might have gone home with the Lord, but her spirit and legacy will continue to live through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and the next generation to come.

Love lives on.
