Obituary

The late Cassenia B. Times was the daughter of the late Ben and Angie (Geddis) Broughton. She was born November 11, 1953. She was educated in the public schools of Charleston County. Cassenia graduated from Bonds Wilson High in 1972. She later received an Associate Degree from Trident Technical College. She was married to the late Paul L. Times II from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. To this union, two beautiful sons Wendell V and Paul L Times III were raised in a loving home. Cassenia was a very personable individual with a strong personality. Always a happy person, Cassenia always had a smile and a joke to share with those around her. To know her was to have a friend. Cassenia was a hardworking woman. She was known for her strong work ethics. Cassenia battled sickness for most of her days. She spent many days recuperating from one illness or another. She always had a positive attitude and believed that God would deliver her. On numerous occasions her sickness would debilitate her to the point of death but she never complained. She willed herself to continue on. Her last illness was different; it was the blow that took her out. She died peacefully in hospice care on August 23rd at 7:15am.

Cassenia leaves to cherish her memories: Loving sons Wendell L. Times and Paul L. Times III of Charleston, an adoring granddaughter Diamond K. Times and a great grandson Bryant A. Fox both from Virginia. She leaves behind a special daughter- in law Kimyatta L. Madry from New York. One brother Benjamin (Carol) Broughton, Charleston. Four sisters Annette (Paul) Middleton; Cross, Valerie (Albert) Broughton-Richards; Charleston, Andrea (Mark) Dowling; Jacksonville, Florida, Anjelica (George) Hunter; MS. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, nephews and special friends.
