A good friend had always described Uncle Chink as "Old Timer or Old School" and I'd chuckle because he was right. I'd describe him as a loving, kind & decent man who truly loved his family...flaws & all. Growing up, my cousins & I watched & did our best to mirror the example Uncle Chink, my Mom Perstella, Aunt Joy & Aunt Betty set in how they loved & cared for one another & always showed up for family no matter what. Everybody doing what they could to get things done. I'll never forget when I bought my first home...a true fixer-upper..lol and it was obvious we were in wayyyy over our heads, Uncle Chink in true form found every contractor/tradesmen needed (cause he knew a little bit of everybody) AND he stopped by everyday to make sure I was good & the job was going well. Again, showing up & doing what you can. He did that for family & friends. If he could lend a helping hand he would....a good, decent & kind man. Well, Uncle Chink, the time has come to say see you later. You will truly be missed and I hope & pray we made you proud. Rest well & see you on the other side. Robin

My uncle came to live with us in Charleston the last year and 9 months of his life. We took him to cookouts and parties and restaurants and hanging out in the old neighborhood (Accabee) he was very happy in the end. Rest well Uncle we will miss you.❤️
