Obituary For Charles Tisdale
Charles D Tisdale of North Charleston, SC was born August 12, 1951 to the parensts of the late Clarence Tisdale and Gratta George Tisdale. He was born in Williamsburg County.
He was raised in Charleston, SC ad attended the Charleston County Public Schools. After High School, Charles moved to Kissimee, Florida with his uncles James and George and his aunt, Martha B. Greemn where he worked with the Florida Transportation System.After 4 years of employment, he then moved to Chambersburg, Pennsylvania with his uncle and met Judy Cole. To that union, they became the parents of Charles Michael Cole. For over 15 years, Charles worked as a heavy equipment operator. Charles returned back to Winston Salem, NC and became a member of the Winston Salem Church of Christ under Minister Simmons who also preached at Folly Road Church of Christ. He was baptized in 1987. Charles relocated back home in 1990 and began working for Bill Hall Real Estate Co. working for over 20 years before retiring as a heavy equipment operator. He then took on Landscaping work. His artistry was impeccable.. He also was very mechanically inclined to repairing small machinery to designing new roads in the Ravenel and North Charleston, SC rural roads and areas.
Preceding him in death was his fiance’, the apple of his eyes, his special delight, Anna “My Girl”, his parents; Clarence and Gratta G. Tisdale, his eldest brother; Clarence Tisdale, his sisters; Ella Bowman, Evelyn Johnson and Sissy Tisdale of Mount Vernon, N.Y.
Charles leaves to mourn , his son; Charles Michael Cole and ___ Grandchildren, his siblings; Cleveland Tisdale (Dorothy), Carl Tisdale, Elvira Everson, Claude Tisdale and Elizabeth Tisdale, a special friend of the family for over 5 years; Luis T. Santiago and his best friend; Bernard Coutrier, two aunts; Matriarch Janie Pinckney and Minnie P. Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. His Particular Caregivers; James Pinckney and William Brunson all medical staffing.
