Family, I extend to you my sincere condolences. Mr. & Mrs. McCants became a part of our family by choice, when the late Mr. John McCants became coworkers but more importantly, friends with my dad at The Charleston County Community Development. My parents & my children absolutely loved them both. I have so many fond memories & even saved voice messages from Mr. McCants trying to reach my dad, "Robert" as he most articulately would ask to speak to dad or leave a message. I still cherish the silver tea set Mrs. McCants hand picked for me as a wedding gift-such a lady of class & style! Two lovely people became one, lived a selfless life & are now together again with the Father. Prayers for comfort and strength during this most difficult time, from Vera, my brother Marshall & the family of the late Robert M. Lee.

My condolences to Mrs.McCants family and all her loved ones. My name is Ashton Grinel and in 2005 me and my grandparents were victims of Hurricane Katrina. We ended up moving to Goose Creek due to having a family member there willing to help. Mrs.McCants ended up being an angel in disguise for me and my family. She did EVERY SINGLE THING under the sun ensure that our time in Goose Creek was filled with nothing but love. She provided to us emotionally, financially, physically, and any other way we needed. We were blessed to have crossed paths with someone so sweet and loving as she was. I was 11 at the time and am now 31 and can still hear her sweet voice, telling me to make sure i'm being a good boy. She will truly be missed. Again, my prayers and condolences are with every soul that sweet angel touched!

Last Wednesday, a colleague and I discussed Mrs. McCants. During my time at Charleston County, I had the privilege of working closely with Mr. McCants, which allowed me to connect with her as well. She stood out to me as one of the most elegant women I encountered in Charleston, not only for her refined style but also for her admirable character. She embodied the essence of JESUS not only in her character but also through her actions, her compassion for others, and her culinary skills. I once inquired about the source of her exceptional recipes, as everything she prepared was remarkably delicious. She shared that, during her time as a military wife, she kept a notebook and pen by her bedside and said that GOD would inspire her with recipes as she slept. Upon waking, she would write down and recreate it the next day. The divine nature of her cooking was evident, as I have yet to experience anything quite like it since. Ms. McCants also Catered many of our functions during holidays. To the McCants Family, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for allowing us to share in the lives of your parents. When speaking of them, like Jesus, they too bring a smile to my face, and I am sure many others can attest to that. My Condolences to all and as we know, THOU ABSENT FROM THE BODY, THE WIND BENEATH HER WINGS, HAS SWEPT HER INTO THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD AND WITH HER HERO, MR. MCCANTS.

Family, you have my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of Mrs. McCants. I met Mrs. McCants through my employment with Mr McCants at Charleston County Government. Her expertise in catering was loved by so many. What a "Jewel" of a woman. May God comfort your hearts during this time of sorrow. B B Randolph

Our hearts are heavy with the transition of this beautiful lady whom God gave me the the privilege to meet almost 10 years ago and she was affectionately call Mom and she would call me her son and she treated me and my family like a mother would. We lift her family in prayer during these difficult times. The word of God says rather be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord πŸ™πŸΎ Kevin and Regina Washington πŸ’”πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ

To The Family : All of you have my deepest condolences. I was sadden to hear of Ms. McCants transition. Ms. Mcants was a kind, loving, giving, talented, Godly woman. If ever I would experience the Bibical definition of a Proverbs 31 Woman, Ms. Christina McCants was this woman wholeheartedly! I have fond memories of her as many other friends and family. I can say with confidence that she loved whatever God put to her hands to do with excellence. But without question she loved and made extraordinary gestures for her family. RIP Ms Christina McCants. I know you are in the presence of Almighty God while affectionately holding hands with your beloved John!
