It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that our beloved father Derrick “Ron” Washington has entered into eternal rest on December 7th, 2024, Ron is the son of the late Jeanette Drayton (Issac Drayton) and Reynolds Walters, Ron is survived by three sisters, and Four Brother, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Ron is the husband of the late Kathy Washington, Ron is the beloved father of April Grant, Ashley Grant, and the late Devin “BJ” Edwards (Crystal Edwards), Ron is survived by two step children, Carlin Davis and Ryan Watkins, Ron was born on March 8th 1964, in Charleston South Carolina where he spent his formative years, he attended Bonds Wilson High School where he played JV and Varsity Basketball and other recreational sports. Ron attended Trident Tech College for culinary where he later earned a trade in restaurant and hospitality and later became a cook at local restaurants in the Charleston area. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, strong dedication and great passion for cooking, but more than anything Ron was a devoted father and grandfather, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing games, listening to music and watching football. Ron will be dearly missed by all of his loved ones.

The Home Going Service will take place on Sunday, December 15, 2024, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Riverview Memorial Park. The Walk Thru will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
