Mr. Derrick Orlando Bright, 58 of Charleston, South Carolina departed this life on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Mr. Bright was the son of Joseph Kinloch and Ella Gadsden, both deceased. Mr. Bright was the father of Dwight (Shante) Scott, Thearica Bright, Shaunnette Bright, Cherie Bright and Ethan Bright. He was the brother of Naomi Bright Murray (deceased), Bennie Bright (deceased), Gladys Bright (deceased), Juanita Bright (deceased), Marcella Gathers (deceased), Ella Wright (deceased), Francis Baylor, Richardine (Arthur) Grant, George (Petrece) Bright, Peter Bright, Rickey (Twanna) Bright, and a devoted friend Celestine Moultrie. Mr. Bright's Home Going Service will take place on Saturday, December 18, 2021, 11:00 AM at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 180 Romney Street, Charleston, SC. He will be laid to rest in Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery. The wake service for Mr. Bright will take place at the church on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
