Obituary For Direk Spencer Wilkins

Direk Spencer Wilkins was born on October 12, 1976 in Jamaica, Queens, NY to Ephriam Spencer Wilkins and Peggie Ann Wilkins. He was preceded in death by his father Ephriam Wilkins, grandparents; Ephriam and Sarak Wilkins, and Frank and Retha Wilson, aunts; Delores Plummer, Linda Hilton and Shirley Russell, and uncle, Frank Wilson, Jr..

Direk enjoyed his life in Queens, NY, surrounded by friends and family as he attended Elementary School P.S. 134, Junior High 192 and High School August Martin. Through his friends he discovered modeling and was known for his sense of style. While in New York he was employed by Walbaums and Norstroms. Direk moved with his mother to Charleston, SC in 2009 to pursue a quieter life. He began working for Walmart and Harris Teeter along with trying his hands at entrepreneurship as a home improvement contractor. In his latter years he concentrated on the care of his mother. He was known for his love of gaming and being able to fix electronics.

Along those who celebrates his life his daughter, Ameera Stephen, brother, Michael Wilson (LaKesia), sister, Sharon Anderson (Allen), along with his brothers and sisters in Christ; Cindy, Marquis, Julie, Jennifer, William and Ike. Direk was survived by his nieces and nephews; Couffee, Alex, Trinity, Phoenix, Essence and Aaron, along with 3 generations of cousins, God children, aunts and uncles in Charleston, he also found caring neighbors Sue, Megan, and Matty on one side and Shantell Matthew on the other side.
