Obituary For Doris Delilah West

Doris Delilah West, Charleston – The family, relatives and friends of Mrs. Doris Delilah West are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 8, 2022, 11:00 AM, at New Bethel Reformed Episcopal Church, 1941 Helm Avenue, North Charleston, SC. Interment will follow at Mexico Cemetery, Pineville, SC. A public viewing will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Low Country Mortuary, LLC and she will lie-in-state on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Mr. Isaac West, Sr.; her parents, Johnny Williams and Albertha Williams; three sisters, Martha Burns, Janie Lee Dudley, and Odessa Guy. She leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Reverend Isaac (Reverend Millicent) West, Jr. of Augusta, GA, Antonio (Ellen) West of Hope Mills, NC, Burtlynn West of Charleston, SC, and Elder Jeffrey (Evangelist Lenore) West of Virginia Beach, VA; one daughter, Darlesa (Reverend Corey) Barron of Grayson, GA; thirteen grandchildren, Deidre’ Grant, Mya Safford, Isaac A. West, III, Isaac (Tiffany) West, III, Julia (Demario) Tucker, Linda (Kelvin) Brown, Jeffrey (Meredith) West, Jr. Alyssa West, Alesa Barron, Brandon West, Corey Q. Barron, II, Brooklyn West, and Bryce West; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Peaulah (Harry) Gill; two brothers, Johnny Williams, Jr. and Jackson Williams; one brother-in-law, James (Rosemarie B.) West, and one sister-in-law, Lillian “Loniece” Gantt; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Due to COVID-19 protocols, everyone is required to wear a face mask for the viewing and the Celebration of Life service. Expressions of love may be sent to the family at www.lowcountrymortuary.com.
