Obituary For Dorothy Ford

Ms. Dorothy “Mama Dot” Ford of Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2024. Ms. Ford was the daughter of the Late Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus Davis, Sr. and Lillie Mae Dingle Davis, the mother of; Paul Davis (Jestine), Mildred Mayes (Mac), Oneida Ford, Agnes Bryan (the late Leon), the late Lavonia Ford - Smalls (the late Lamont), Isaiah Ford and Emily Mack (Henry, Sr.), the sister of; Thaddeus Davis, Jr. (Doris), Alice Legree, the late Lee Ed Davis, the late Franklin Davis (the late Margaret), and the late Annie Deveaux (the late Alvin), the grandmother of; Cheryl, Keita, George, Tamika, Damita, Lamar, Carlton, Shatlney, Marquis, Courtney, Paul “Mario” , Henry “Monty” Joshua, Ahmad, Trevon the late Justin, J'von and Baylie and a host of great grandchildren, the special cousin of Mary Lou White. The Home Going Service will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, 1:00 PM at Washington United Methodist Church 2110 Monrovia St. Charleston SC. She will be laid to rest in the Church Cemetery. The Walk Thru will take place on Friday, January 26, 2024 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family will be accepting visitors after the Walk Thru on Friday at the Arabian Temple 4132 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, SC 29405.
