Deacon Charles Gilchrist, Edmund, Jessica & Family, We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to you Sister Dorothy Gilchrist, President, Senior Missionary Ministry was such a beautiful person who will be greatly missed. She took her missionary ministry very serious always ready to help everyone that needed her assistance. She was a retired educator, wife, mother, took care of her Mother, without hesitation going home to Marion all the time she was a caregiver too everyone especially the members of the Senior Missionary Ministry. I will definitely miss her she came to my home when I was sick along with several other ladies had prayer service for me cracked jokes wanted to know exactly what I needed and did something household duties. She was everywhere doing the hospital visitation to the nursing homes, feeding the hungry, Veterans Fisher House, directing the letters to those in prison, going to different churches when they requested our help, the Good Samaritan Basket, leading the Women's Day Program for years, a Deaconess serv9ing with her husband, reported to Reverend Doctor Isaac Jerry Holt, Junior our progress on a daily basis. She was a true Missionary who loved God, her husband, children, especially her 102 years old Mother, other family members, church family, neighbor's, friends loved serving the Lord with all she had to give did not ever stop helping too thinking about herself she was truly a solider in God' Army as a Missionary. May God give you peace in knowing that she loved you so much she found peace in Heaven walking around singing and shouting with all her family already there in "Heaven." she is taking a well-deserved rest. We all loved her but God loved her best remember all the good times that you shared with her I know I will we had some beautiful conservations that I will always treasure thank you Jesus. She exemplified a true woman of God Proverbs 31 speaks of her and the talents that she possessed. What a remarkable person she was I will never forget her loving, kind, generous, understanding personality. Take care of yourself if you ever need my help please do not hesitate to call upon me and my family we love you all very much. Sister Nancy Carolyn Button, Member of the Senior Missionary Ministry
