George dedicated his life to service which started in 1956 in the US Navy. After 21 years of honorable service, he retired as a Petty Officer First Class (Sonar Technician). One of his greatest accomplishments while in the Navy was his work on race relations. Following his career in the Navy, George worked for Amoco Chemical Company in Cainhoy, SC for 15 years spending most of that time in Human Resources. He never missed a chance to dance and loved talking with anyone about his family, his time in the Navy, and the many people he helped buy a home. He especially loved spending time with his EOM Club and hanging with the guys every week for Friday Night “Seminar”.

The memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, October 13th at 10 am. A celebration of life will be held that afternoon at 1 pm at The Owl’s Whist Club.
