Obituary For Glen Avon Bennett, Jr

Glen Avon Bennett, Jr. was born August 3, 1952 on Edisto Island, South Carolina to the late Edna Westpoint Bennett and Glen Avon Bennett, Sr. Avon got his education from the Public Schools of Edisto Island furthered on with colleges, bachelor degrees, spoke two foreign languages, French and Spanish and majored in blackbelt.

Avon was employed and retired as a Merchant Sea Men, Barber also a cook. He also played in a band.

On Sunday March 23, 2025, Avon was called home to rest. He was cared for and cherished by Lakisha Croskey.

Avon was preceded in death by his late girlfriend, brothers, sisters and a niece Elizabeth Croskey, Barbara Bennett, Wendell Bennett, Franklin Bennett, Nathaniel Bennett, Permon Bennett, Kathaleen Pullman, Ethel Bennett, Lillian Bennett Frost and Avonnda L. Robinson.

Avon leaves to mourn his passing, his daughters; Lakisha Croskey and Jacquetta Croskey, son; Donzell Croskey, grands; Cortes Croskey, Bernard Croskey Butler, Ivan Croskey, Tevin Croskey JaZariah Jackson, and Bradley Jackson, Jr., great grands;Gabrielle Elizabeth Croskey and Gray'Cyn Gray. Avon leaves behind his brother; Hollie Bennett (Delores), nephews; Desmond Bennett (Gilda) and Nathaniel Green, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other family members.

INFORMAL VISITATION

Friday, March 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at Riverview Memorial Gardens
