Obituary For Jade April Gilchrest
Jade Gilchrest (Thompson , Age 64, of Summerville SC passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025. Born to the late Roland Thompson Sr. and Patricia Clark on April 29, 1961 in White Plains, NY. She was the devoted wife to Percival Gilchrest Sr., mother to three, James (January 1, 2009) Patricia and Christina and step mother to PJ. Grandmother to Shakyra, Jasmine, Tahiem, Jade', Jaboriae "JJ", Javoris "Deuce" and Great Grandmother to Melody "Melly", Kingston and Samia. Each who brought her tremendous joy. She leaves a host of siblings, four brothers Antonie "Tony" and wife Myrna, Roland and wife Bridgette, Clark (Allison) and Peggy, Chandler and four sisters; Whitney, Jackie, Kim and Ebony. She is also lovingly remembered by her life long best friend Sonia "Sonz" Hanchard who stood by her side for over 50 years.
Jade was known for her strength, resilience, love for cooking and her family. She lived with grace, kindness and the most generous spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
The family extends their sincere appreciation for every expression of love and support during this time.
Memorial Service honoring her life will take place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the funeral home at 6:00 PM
