Mr. James Y. Gaines entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 29, 2020 in North Charleston, South Carolina. Mr. Gaines is the husband of, Melissa Gaines, the father of, Seymour C. Smith, James Y. Gaines, Jr, and James Mack, the brother of, Engal Evans, Cheyenne(Johnnie) Brown, Augather Wright, Bendetta Fleming, Carlwayne Gaines, Sedgwick Gaines, Jefferey(Anna Marie) Gaines, a step-daughter, Lashaunda Williams. Graveside Services will take place on Saturday, July 04, 2020 11 AM at the Magnolia Cemetery in Givhans, South Carolina. There will be a walk-thru at the mortuary on Friday July 03, 2020 4PM-6PM. In light of the COVID 19 PANDEMIC we do request that social distancing be practiced while at the Gravesite.

To the family and siblings of Yutrules, I was saddened to learn of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I can recall the many precious times my brothers and I had with Yutrules as youngsters. He had a delightful yet distinguished smile.
