Obituary For Ja'Michael Laron Blair

Ja’Michael Laron Blair, a diamond that shined so bright, was born on April 17, 1999 to his loving parents Ronald and Shirley Blair. After 26 years of wonderful memories, God called Ja’Michael home on October 2, 2025.

Ja’Michael was born in Alabama, then him and his family moved to North Charleston, SC. Ja’Michael’s love for football began at the age of five years old as he started school. He attended Chicora Elementary and Military Magnet High School. He later earned his diploma from Goose Creek High School on June 1, 2017.

Five years later on June 1, 2022, Ja’Michael and Amonia welcomed his first and only son Kaylin Laron Blair. He took great pride in being a father. Him and his enjoyed going to the barber shop together and getting the same hair cut. Over the years he always inspired to be an entreprenuer. He got his CDL as he began to follow in his fathers footsteps.

Ja’Michael shined everywhere he went; his peers and elders would always describe him as a “Real Stand Up Man”. When he loved you, it showed. He kept everyone who surrounded him, smiling and laughing.

Although his life was cut short, he left his amazing family to cherish his memories. His father, Ronald Blair, his mother, Shirley Blair, his son, Kaylin Laron Blair, his loving grandmother, Mamie Blair, his brothers; Sedrick Mathey, Dyquan Mathey, and Kha’lyn Douglas, his only sister, Kiana Stacey, his nieces; Kaleice, Roxcie, Riya, Gracelynn, Veah, Serenity and Symphony, his nephews; Hero, Kendrick, Kade, Calvin, and Karter, and his special friend, Sydney Chavis

Ja Michael, I remember one Sunday morning at Victory Missionary Baptist Church when I walked into your Sunday school class and you were sitting amongst the smaller children and I whispered to you " what you doing in this Sunday school class with these children, you need to be in the adult class, you to old to be sitting in there with those children" and after arriving from church service I told my wife about the conversation and my wife responded "Ja Michael is in the right class because he is eleven years of age, I responded "what only eleven" that young man with the large physique of a football player. Brother Blair The Barnwell family ( Chris, Tresa, Chris the third) would like to send our heartfelt condolences to you and your family on death of this fine young man. The last we saw him was at the Sunoco gas Station and you holler out my wife name and we was wondering who you were and my wife said your name. Rest in peace Ja Michael. The Victory Missionary Baptist Church family along with Pastor Clay L Samuels will surely miss you but as believers we will definitely see you again.
