Obituary For Lana Nelson
Ms. Lana Nelson of Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on February 28, 2022. Ms. Nelson was the mother of DaVonta Nelson, Arriana Nelson and Malana Nelson, the sister of Monaray Nesbitt (Marion), Tonya Thompson (Kevin) and Canatrian "Monique" Middleton (Sheldon). The Home Going Service for Ms. Nelson will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2022, 12:00 noon at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 2005 Reynolds Ave. N. Charleston, SC. She will be laid to rest in Cayce Cemetery, Goose Creek, SC. The Walk Thru for Ms. Nelson will take place on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

This is a very hard pill to swallow. The first day we met she treated me like family. She was the sister I never had. I will truly miss our long talks on the phone with lots of laugh. I miss you sis. Love you!!!!

To The Family of the late Ms. Lana Nelson, c/o her sister, Mrs. Canatrian "Monique" N. Middleton (Sheldon) and family, I extend my sincere condolences upon hearing of her transition. Do find comfort in knowing she is resting in the arms of our heavenly Father from whom all blessings flow. "When praises/prayers go up, blessings come down." I'll continue to pray for the family. Yes, this seems like a dream that I can't wake up from. Looking back at my fondest memories of you is when we went shopping for our cabbage patch dolls as kids. We had our dolls dress from head to toes, always sucking our thumbs day in and day out, our many days traveling to McDonalds with your mom who is also rejoicing in heaven along with our grandmother. I will forever remember this birthday because this was definitely not the gift that I was looking for, but I trust God! He is my strength and I know he never make any mistakes. I thank him for allowing you to share the many jokes and conversations that we had and the love we shared. Unfortunately, you was unable to enter your new home that you were approved for here on earth, but God is still great and always worthy to be praised. For you are about to walk through the heavenly gates to a far better home to be with the rest of our angels who went on before you. Continue to watch over your children, Jermaine, Monique (Sheldon) A.J., Shavonna and the rest of the family. You will be miss!! 💕Lana you fought a good fight. You won your race, so go ahead and take your rest until we meet again. Love you!!💕
