Mic.6;8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Larry Allen embodied this scripture. I will always cherish the beautiful notes he wrote me that helped me through the most difficult times.

I truly will miss you, Uncle Larry, You will be so missed and you will always be loved by so many. I know that you are in heaven with Grandma Jessie and Aunt Jackie and our ancestors above. I hope that this poem will give comfort to the family. I will love you forever. This will not be good bye but until we unit again..Take care of my baby girl Jessica Irene. Miss Me – But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no tears in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free Miss me a little but not too long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that once we shared Miss me – but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And for each must go alone It's all a part of a bigger plan A step on the road to home And when you are lonely and sick of heart Go to the friends we know And bury your tears in their loving arms Miss me – but let me go.

Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.. This portion of scripture in James summs up my friend Larry who was part of our men's group. Larry listened and didn't speak unless he had something insightful to say. Then he would take his time with every word so we would have a complete understanding, and afterwards thank us for allowing him the time. I look forward to listening to you again Larry my friend, and take your time, we will have eternity. Roy

Larry and I met in kindergarten in 1961, his family also lived on the other side of my grandmothers house in Beaver Falls, PA. We went to school together and after high school went out separate ways. We hooked back up a few years ago by classmates and starting talking about this and that and since I go south a couple times a year, I told him lets' hook up and in September of 2022, while on my way to Orlando, I stopped in Charleston S.C. and met up with Larry for dinner, in our eyes we both looked the same, a little bit older, maybe a little heavier, but it was great to see him, spending hours reminiscing about the old days and what has gone on in each of our lives over the past forty some years. I will always cherish that time, of course we took some pictures and said our goodbyes. We stayed in touch after that texting each other here and there. R.I.P. my brother, until we meet again. I knew Larry Allen for years in the 157th. We served in Iraq together. He was one of the finest people I have ever known. Right before we got out of Iraq my Dad became seriously ill. I had no idea if my father would even be alive when I got home. SGT Allen saw me when I was low trying to process it. He talked to me for two hours that night. I will never forget the words he spoke and the insights he gave me. That's the kind of man Larry Allen was. I will never forget that. Rest in Peace my friend, - Russ Wert.

Larry and I served in Iraq together. I was young and full of that invincible spirit only young men have. Larry was older and much wiser and he looked out for me. I can't remember him ever being in a bad mood. No matter what was going on Larry would be cracking up about something. He had such an infectious laugh. Larry is one of the most genuine people I've ever known. Rest in peace my brother.

I served with Larry also in the 157th. I was new to the martinsburg area and the 157th also. I think Larry may have been the 3rd person to welcome me and introduce himself. We all faced difficulty times in the time I knew Larry but he always made sure to say hello and could tell if something g was wrong he could just sense if you had something wrong. I am sorry for the loss of Larry Sgt. Allen Rest in peace brother

The Bible says in second Timothy fourth chapter 6 verse through the eighth verse. It reads the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight I have finished the race I have kept the faith henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing, I miss you Larry, but I know the Bible also says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord God is too wise to make a mistake.
