Obituary For Lillian Campbell Miller

Mrs. Lillian Campbell Miller was the daughter of Susan Campbell Heyward and Daniel Norton.

Mrs. Lillian was born in Manhattan, New York on April 23, 1938. She was raised in Wando, South Carolina. She was educated in the Charleston County School System and graduated from Cainhoy High School in 1955 and attended Brooklyn College in New York.

In the late fifties, she migrated up north for better opportunities. She began working in the public school systems there being a teacher's aide and substitute teacher also being a member of the United Federation of Teachers Union.

She met and fell in love with Keith Franklin, Sr. They were married on November of 1965; they raised four boys and a daughter was raised by her mother in South Carolina.

In January of 1972, she returned to Charleston to begin a new phase in her life after a divorce. She would find love again with Paul Miller and they were wed in 1985. He is now deceased. While in Charleston, she also worked for the Charleston County School District also with the Department of Social Service as a nurse's aide.

Mrs. Lillian had five children; Olivia Joy Brown (Clarence), Francis Lee Franklin (Jackie), Edmond Franklin (Janie), William Eugene Wallace (Debra) and Keith Kenneth Franklin, Jr. (Tieakia). She has a host of grand and great grandchildren.

She accepted Christ into her life at an early age, had a heart of gold and stood firmly on what she believed and anyone who knew her, knows she had no problem speaking her mind. Sadly, she became very ill in her later years.
