Obituary For Mae Francis Darby
Mrs. Mae Frances Darby of St. Matthews, SC entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 10, 2025. Mrs. Darby was the wife of the late Mr. Robert Darby, Sr., the mother of; Robert Darby, Jr. (Deborah), Brenda Darby (Melvin McCord), Cynthia Mitchell (Whitfield Johnson) and James Darby (Evelyn Cunningham), the sister of; Mary Lee Owens, Margaret Darby, Lillie Clark (Calvin), Alexander Owens (Carrie) and Hercules Owens (Lavina), and grandmother of many special grandchildren, several who were raised in the home; Terrell Summers (Lisa), Adrian Jermaine Darby, Jasmine Mitchell, Ravalla Bartley, great grandson; Braylon Mitchell and the godmother of Rev. Dr. Valarie Owens Bartley. The Home Going Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, 2:00 PM at Browns Chapel AME Church, 195 Browns Chapel Rd., Elloree, SC. She will be laid to rest at Browns Chapel AME Church Cemetery. The Wake Service will take place on Friday, January 17, 2025, 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Church.
