I met Sister Mattie in 2003 when I joined Calvary Baptist Church (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) under the leadership of Reverend Doctor Garth G. Gittens and First Lady, Evangelist Gillian Gittens. I became a member of the Hospitality Ministry which Sister Mattie was our President and Advisor. She was a beautiful spirit, intellectual, sophisticated, and professional "Woman of God." Rest peacefully. Love and condolences to her entire family. Carmen Stratford (Upper Darby, PA).
