Obituary For Michael Heyward. Sr.
Mr. Michael Heyward, Sr. of Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on October 8. 2022. Mr. Heyward was the husband of Mrs. Australia Griffin Heyward, the son of the late Annie Heyward - Kinlock and Bennie Kinlock, the father of; Michael Heyward, Jr., Jenise Griffin (Robert), Kevin Griffin (Marlesha), Erica Griffin ( James), Eddrina Frazier (Samuel) and Lecriesha Griffin (Shawn), the brother of; Pamela Kinlock - Heyward (Allen Lamar), Sonya Kinlock - Smith (Mark) and Jamie Mcvay (Darryl). The Home going Service for Mr. Heyward will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022, 11:00 AM at Greater Trinity AME Church 677 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC. He will be laid to rest in Old Nazareth Cemetery, Pinopolis, SC. The Walk Thru will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Hondo as we called him growing up from boys to men and playing football along the I -26 ramp of Brigade St. as we would call it under the bridge. His great smile and athleticism of strength gave us a bond many wished to have. I've never seem him angry nor upset. He has always been a great friend of mind, even though I have not seen nor talk to him for many years. I pray God has a place in heaven where he can just run around as fast as he did here on earth. Family and friends weep now but joy comes in the morning. Our lost is God's gain, a great friend whom I will never forget. May God cover you family during this time of grief. Willie Samuel Jr.
