Obituary For Patricia Hamilton Majette

Patricia Hamilton Majette of Austin, TX entered into eternal rest on September 10, 2024. The late Patricia Hamilton Majette was born on July 14, 1937 in North Charleston, SC. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Wright. Patricia was raised by Rosa Sadie Hamilton – Miller. She attended grade school in Charleston County. She was a graduate of Bonds – Wilson High School class of 1960. She attended the Community College of Philadelphia, PA. and The Temple University Center for Social Policy and Community Development and Presbyterian Medical Hospital/ Penn Medicine.

Patricia also was a part of the Civil Rights Activist against Jim Crow Acts in Philadelphia, PA during the 1970’s. She was employed by Sentry Nurses, LLC for 9 years and Penn Care / Wissahickon in Philadelphia, PA for 15 years. After retiring, she volunteered at Penn Care/ Wissahickon for 5 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother and 7 siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories her nieces and nephews; Theodore Hamilton, Harvey Hamilton, Alvin Townsend, Barbara Williams, James Grant, Maze H. Taylor, Bernice H. Singleton, Michael Hamilton, Saunda Cooper, Joy Nelson, Thomas Nelson, Jr., Lloyd Nelson, Rose Z. Nelson, Leslie H. Flowers, Leo Hamilton, William Lamont Hamilton, Robert Smith, Jr., Darlen Hamilton, Ann Hamilton, Patricia Hamilton, Arthur Hamilton, Dean Hamilton, Annett H. Ray, Shonda Diaz,Carnel Flauk, Georgetta Singleton, Andropolis Singleton, Christopher Singleton, Brandon Singleton, Natasha Singleton, Arthur Lee Patrick and Towana Bobbitt, two brother in laws and a host of other relatives and friends.Patricia was the aunt of; Theodore Hamilton, Harvey Hamilton, Alvin Townsend, Barbara Williams, James Grant, Maze H. Taylor, Bernice H. Singleton, Michael Hamilton, Saunda Cooper, Joy Nelson, Thomas Nelson, Jr., Lloyd Nelson, Rose Z. Nelson, Leslie H. flowers, Leo Hamilton, William Lamont Hamilton, Robert Smith, Jr., Darlen Hamilton, Ann Hamilton, Patricia Hamilton, Arthur Hamilton, Dean Hamilton, Annett H. Ray, Shonda Diaz,Carnel Flauk, Georgetta Singleton, Andropolis Singleton, Christopher Singleton, Brandon Singleton, Natasha Singleton, Arthur Lee Patrick and Towana Bobbitt. The Home Going Service will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, 2:00 PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Johnson Cemetery. The will be no Walk Thru on Friday.
