Robert Lee Sheppard, 79 of Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 16, 2023. He was the son Bertha Pitts and the late Elliott Nelson.
Robert Lee (known as Baby Cakes) attended public schools in Charleston. Robert loved life. He loved cooking and he welcomed all into his home. All who knew him loved him for his comical humor and loving spirit.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted friend Yolanda Minus, siblings Henry Raysor (Geneva), Hezetta Brown (Joe), Hezekiah, Gloria Raysor, and Jacqueline; nieces Connie, Earlette (Johnny), Shaliesha (Tom), Tameeka, Tiffany, Ecollette, Joyce, Melissa, Erin, Nicole (Dan), Tiera and Tracy; nephews Dennis, Kirby (Mary), Earl (Paulette), Christopher, Hezekiah, Fernardo, Nicolas, Tom Jr., Malik, Willie, Darren, and Omari, and host of grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews. Robert was proceeded in death by his father Elliott Nelson, brother Isaac Sheppard and sister Phyllis Raysor. The Home Going Service will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery.
