Obituaries

Rose Marie Nelson entered into eternal rest on July 10, 2024. Ms. Nelson was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham and Fannie Murray. She was one of eight children. Three brothers; Larry, Allen, Jerome, and three sisters; Evelyn Jenkens, Gertie Gadson, Clarissa Murray, preceded her in death.

She accepted Jesus Christ in her life at an early age. Rose was a faithful member of Abundant Life Deliverance Ministry. She served as a Missionary, member of the finance committee, and supervisor of communion service.

Rose was educated in the public schools of Charleston, South Carolina. She moved to Manhattan, New York in 1964 and worked as a book bindery for thirty one years. She then moved back to Charleston, SC and continued working as a book bindery.

She departed this life on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Agape Hospice Center in Summerville, South Carolina. She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her children; Samuel(Cherie) of Charleston, SC, Ezell of North Charleston, SC, one brother; Abraham and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Homegoing celebration will take place on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Low Country Mortuary. She will be laid to rest at the Hillsborough Brown Cemetery. The Walk Thru will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
