Sylvia Jean Richardson North Charleston, SC - The Richardson-King family announces the passing of their beloved Sylvia Jean Richardson, 84. She entered eternal rest on Friday, February 16, 2024, at her home in Atlanta, Ga.
Mrs. Richardson is the mother of Ms. Shirley A. Richardson and Ms. Cynthia Richardson, both of New York. Mr. Tyrone J. Richardson of North Charleston, SC. Mr. Merle Jerrell Richardson-King of Atlanta, Ga. Ms. Pamela A. Richardson of Fayetteville, NC. Mr. Cleon King of Quantico, Va, and Mr. Troy Richardson. mother in-law of Dr. Corron Jones-King of Atlanta, Ga. and Ms. Terry Campbell of Summerville, SC. Sister in-law of Ms. Edna Richardson of North Charleston, SC. Stepmother of Mr. Cyril Richardson of Charleston, SC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, 3:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church 2005 Reynolds Avenue - North Charleston, SC. Arrangements were entrusted to The Legacy Funeral Home 8968 Fayetteville Road - Jonesboro, Ga. (770) 477 - 2273 and The Low Country Mortuary 1852 E. Montague Avenue, North Charleston, SC (843) 554 - 2117. A private interment will be held in Charleston, SC.
The family will receive guests at the home of Ms. Edna Richardson 2243 Mott Avenue, North Charleston, SC, or you may contact Merle Jerrell Richardson-King at (404) 380 - 0121. In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations to be made to assist with the repast via cashapp - $Corronjones.

Miss Sylvia am I mother worked together at Dottie at the motor lodge also known as Best Weston for many years and besides working together we were also family she will truly be missed and I can honestly say that I knew her from a little boy auntie her sons, y'all had a really true mother Love you both Carlton Bozo Frayer

Condolences and Prayers to the entire Richardson Family. A great woman of God who will truly be missed by my family. An awesome friend and co-worker to my Mother Betty A. Middleton (RIH) and we grew to become more than friends but family with Merle, Pam, Troy, and Cleon on George Leagre-North Park Village. So many great life lesson talks and memories had with your Mom, who was always sweet, kind, and loving towards us. May you guys continue to live out her Legacy in your lives. I express my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Richardson. May the good times that you have spent with her bring about pleasant memories. Jesus' word at John, chapter 11: 23 - 26 gives us much hope concerning our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. My prayers and sympathy are with the family.
