  We have truly lost a transformational leader with the passing of our principal. He inspired students during the years our Bonds Wilson was a segregated school and later he captained our school through the challenging waters of desegregation. He approached everything he did with determination, principle and wisdom in the spirit of his personal credo that if it is to be, it is up to me. We can truly confirm that he evoked changes in us as individuals. In the movie Dead Poets Society, students climb up and stand on the top of their desks in a final tribute to their departed beloved teacher. So I climb to stand upon mine now in concluding this message and saluting this man who helped us all climb.
