Obituary For Wilbert Thompson Sr.
The relatives and friends of Mr. Wilbert Thompson, Sr. and those of his wife, Mrs. Pamela Thompson; those of his parents, the late James & Doretha Thompson, Sr.; those of his children, Corrie Thompson and Wilbert Thompson, Jr.; those of his siblings, James (Sherry) Thompson and Carolyn Thompson; and those of his in-laws, Gloria Dean, Wilma Drayton, Vernessa Watson, Vincent Traeye, Germaine Smith and Millicent Traeye (Tavin) Middleton are invited to attend his home going service on Saturday, November 16, 2019, 1:00PM in the Leroy W. Hilton Memorial Chapel at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden. An informal visitation for Mr. Thompson will take place on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at the mortuary.

My condolences to the Thompson family. I pray God continues to comfort and strengthen the family during this time of bereavement. May the many cherished and loving memories of Wilbert continue to comfort his family and friends. A comforting thought to keep in mind is at Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." May you all have calming and pleasant thoughts during this time.

My sincere condolences to Pam and her family on the passing of their beloved Wilbert. He was a neighbor to my Mother Rhunette Crawford, late Grandmother Ollie Green and cousin Wilhelmina Holiday for many years. He was a very kind person who spoke with everyone who passed by his house. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting on the front porch. He was well known and liked in the Oak Grove Community. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Joyce Crawford Wright Champaign, Illinois . .
